My truly awful Photoshop skills are on display over at RandBall. Other than the title, I shall say no more.

Twinkie Town: Monday complete
Another Monday over at Twinkie Town, another set of links. (None are particularly memorable, I warn you.)
- Morning: a surprisingly evenly-divided poll about whether the Twins should hold 'em - or fold 'em.
- Preview: chock-full of shots at Glen Perkins (who ended up making me look foolish.)
- Game recap: Cuddyer's the story - but that misses some of the important things that happened.

Twinkie Town: This week's links
Gracious me, I almost forgot to post links to this Monday's efforts at Twinkie Town.
In descending order of interesting-ness:
- The text of my Sunday appearance on the AM1500 KSTP "Extra Innings" radio show - in this case, a pregame show.
- I looked at the numbers and concluded - against all odds, things are looking slightly up.
- A recap of the Twins' 14-13 loss (and a false start, as I couldn't last past midnight on Monday, and had to throw up a premature recap.)

Twins opining, in several locales
Two notes on the Twins:
- I'll be on AM1500 on Sunday afternoon again, doing the GameDay Chatter segment as usual. That said, since the game on Sunday is a night game, I have no idea when it'll actually air. UPDATE: The show is from 4-6, and my segment will air about 5:30.
- The Dallas Morning News has a Rangers blog, and one of its writers polled me, Nick Nelson, and Aaron Gleeman about our thoughts on the upcoming series. As usual, my weak analysis looks rather fatuous next to insights from Gleeman and Nelson, two of the best Twins bloggers around, but at least I tried.

The Averageness of the Twins and Francisco Liriano, in his own words
Every once in awhile, in baseball, one has to do what's least expected. Joe Mauer has to drop down a bunt once a month, just to keep the defense honest. RA Dickey needs to mix in a fastball among his floating, dipping knucklers, just to keep the batter off balance. And every once in awhile, Francisco Liriano keeps his concentration for more than thirty consecutive seconds. Gotta keep those guys guessing!
All of which is a roundabout way of saying that I threw a changeup this week: I've got a Friday post up at TwinkieTown today. The subjects: Jim Souhan, Ron Gardenhire, clubhouse anger, a whole lot of numbers - and a lot of averageosity.
Plus: Francisco Liriano, in his own words.

Nick Blackburn's Contract... and later, Twins All-Stars
Another Monday off day, over at Twinkie Town (seems like that's all there is, lately). Today's discussion topic: if you're the Twins, what do you do about Nick Blackburn's contract, given that he's been pitching like the staff ace AND you already extended Scott Baker, last year? [Twinkie Town]
LATER THAT SAME DAY: I also ran a quick poll at TT: Which current Twin is most likely to become a perennial All-Star - besides Mauer, Morneau, and Nathan? (As of this writing, minor-league third baseman Danny Valencia has more votes than Michael Cuddyer, Delmon Young, and Jose Mijares combined, proof of the basic optimism of the internet, I guess.)
